Technology Lesson Demonstration

For this technology lesson presentation, I chose to integrate and use ChatGPT as my technological resource for the classroom. Mastery of precisely reflecting and translating objects over the x-axis and y-axis is a crucial concept according to state standards for students learning geometric transformations using the tracing method. ChatGPT was chosen for its ability to effortlessly incorporate my regular lessons, turning school assignments into interactive and investigative collaboration activities for students. This gadget (ChatGPT) offers immersive and complete experiences for gaming, education, and several other purposes. Moreover, it has many uses and can be used with CANVAS, Google Classrooms, and other educational technology platforms to help improve student performance. This technology is beneficial for student achievement because it enhances the instructional process by keeping students engaged in the "era of digital justice" (Hughes and Roblyer, 2023). The lesson described can be improved with the use of ChatGPT in the following way: students can pull up the app, and type in their questions about geometric reflections on objects, ChatGPT will answer their specific questions and give them a lot more information about the topic to help complete their worksheets. The video also provides a quick demonstration of how geometry may be presented via the use of typing skills, which will ultimately result in a more profound understanding of the material through the use of the built-in version of ChatGPT. The authors Hughes and Roblyer (2023) emphasize how essential it is for educators and students who deal with technology integration to improve their lesson plans and skills by strengthening their capabilities with the use of technology due to it being a very significant component of our future. ChatGPT technology can also be used for differentiated instruction, one difference or challenge that can be added to this feature can give students with disabilities extra help using the Talk-to-ChatGPT. It is possible to utilize this device by installing the Chrome Extension, which enables the user to speak via a microphone rather than typing and also allows them to listen to replies over the speakers of the computer. This component of assistive technology is designed to help all students communicate with one another and complete their assignments. Using an alternative method of instruction is one way to accomplish this goal. When selecting a method of technology software to incorporate into a lesson, teachers should research the software. According to policy, students who possess a disability are required to have an IEP, which stands for customized education program. (Hughes and Roblyer, 2023) Students with disabilities in my class who have trouble understanding basic math may be able to better understand with Talk-to-ChatGPT by using the other available options. This is because students with disabilities need to see and touch things to understand them. As a result, exercises can be customized to accommodate the diverse learning preferences of students.
